How is your ENERGY entering 2022? Energy is defined as the capacity to do the work. So what is “the work” you have before you that requires your energy? It is different for everyone at different stages of life. Perhaps the focus may be dominant within your financial core area OR your spiritual area starting off this year. “Work” is not only our skills and talents we use in exchange for money. We are complex beings learning and growing in a vast variety of areas. Sometimes o
May the turning of the calendar as we enter 2022 remind us that when we find ourselves facing challenges & obstacles to meet them grace & kindness. It begins with self - we are worthy of grace…what flows within extends out. We are humans learning, stretching, growing…resting, recouping and recovering. 2022 is NOT a new you…it is ALL of you combined of the beauty and lessons to this point…and now in this moment there is opportunity to make decisions and choices as what to do
Today, along the trail, I had the opportunity to connect with some beautiful people. It amazes me within a matter of minutes how we, as people, are able to connect. From the first person who walked over to join the fire and shared how fire, water and stones are their “things“ and how all three were present...connection made as another chimed in, “me too!” And then the sharing began…tales of travels, exploring, collecting, family, challenges, lessons, and tremendous fortitude.
Winter driving in the city and I chuckle to myself as I watch others grow impatient, honk and speed by others who may be driving a tad under the posted speed limit. The sign clearly states 100 Km/h…that is the maximum speed when conditions are deemed ideal. Winter driving in Saskatchewan with ice and snow is anything but ideal; hence caution ~ little more space given to others, perhaps a tad slower…maybe choosier about how often it’s actually required to venture out. And yet
Summer has officially arrived. Summer of 2021 is upon us and I myself am transitioning into lake life and so far I can admit it agrees quite well with me. Like any change it is a process and doesn’t happen all at once. Great topic for the SWWA article I wrote - Transitions and some tips on how to navigate through them. Whether it’s work, play, relationships, environment, or with oneself - change is inevitable and it’s essential to have some tools to utilize as we are creating
I used to dream of this life...and now here I am living & loving it. Reflecting over the past 48 hours after a beautiful retreat I had the privilege of co-facilitating with @kyla_back2nature . We were able to provide a beautiful space for others to go just a little deeper and encourage further connections as well allow space for whatever needed to be let go of. And here I am at #candlelake spending time at my #lakelife home. And I marvel at the process of arriving here to thi
Great question...for me it’s all about nature, connecting with self, others and learning opportunities that allow space to reflect, stretch and grow. This past weekend all those items were checked ✅. I enjoyed an amazing opportunity to spend three full days with @back2nature_wellness and @kananaskisoutdooracademy in the setting of beautiful Canmore and surrounding. Theory, situations, experiences, hands on training and testing. We paddled in sunshine, wind, rain and EVEN snow
Have you ever been asked or wondered yourself, “What are you running from?” One of my favorite movies is “Runaway Bride.”
If you haven’t seen it ~ the basis is about a woman who gets engaged multiple times; the weddings always have a theme and they are quite the variety.
JUST before she is about to walk down the aisle each time...a look comes over her face, she feels a certain way and then she BOLTS to never make it to the final destination of becoming married. It happens so
